The dark side of Artificial Intelligence

Nowadays, everyone wants to use ChatGPT and harness its unpredictable power. But does anyone think about how dangerous it can become?

For a moment, put aside all the advantages and think about what disadvantages it can bring?

I think there are three areas where we need immediate focus:

1 -Negative and False Prompts

This technology is so powerful that it can learn using human-given inputs and prompts. It’s like teaching a newborn baby, who will be trained using limited knowledge. From inputs and prompts, it can adapt to the environment and outputs the best answer neglecting the mistakes done previously.

Let’s take this example:

Wife is always right.
Wife is always right.

Did you see how easy to manipulate it? Can a wife always be right? It is a clear example that it could be used illegally.

Some disadvantages:

  • Educating children with wrong information.
  • Affecting the market heavily, as there will be a lot of false information.
  • If you train a baby with bad habits then you know the results right?

2 -Excess Of Laziness

It is indeed no doubt using Artificial Intelligence can make our life easier. On the other hand, it can make people lazy if they rely on it too much for their work.

Let’s take an example of a beginner content writer, who is new in the field. Now he/she does less work and generates content using AI tools. What happens in the end, he/she learned nothing.

Some disadvantages:

  • Generating content using tools only.
  • Build applications using generative prompts.

3 -Future Challenges

The future is fruitful as well as very challenging. We have to adapt ourselves to the rapid change of technology.

Some disadvantages:

  • Generating dangerous codes to build viruses.
  • Hacking systems. Especially blockchains (Yes, you heard right ! blockchain ).
  • It can do a lot more, we can’t even imagine.

These were my quick thoughts that I foresee in the future that can become a danger for humans. We have to overcome these AI tools by setting very strict protocols against them and using them very carefully.
